Congratulations to Ady Bingham and Steve Hurry, Steve Hurry 94-28=66 won the overall PGA Medal and Ady Bingham 83-14=69 qualified for the Regional Qualifier, Ady will go forward to play with myself in the Lombard PGA Medal later on in the year, unfortunately for Steve there is a 24 Handicap limit imposed by the National Organisers meaning his excellent score was reduced to nett 70, both scores were exceptional though considering the Competition Scratch Score rose to 74 on the day.

Ash Anthony 78-5=73 won the Best Gross and Division I from Jim Dudley 81-7=74 and Nigel Bunn 85-9=75. Jonathan Hawkins 84-13=71 followed Ady home in Division II with Dep Patel 90-15=75 in third, Steve had an 11 shot margin over Pete Roberts 97-20=77 with Sean Briant 102-24=78 third in Division III.

The Two's Sweep winners were Nigel Bunn, Jake Tamber, Russ Harris, Gary Kew x2, and Steve Brand.

We have plenty of competitions running over this Easter weekend, there is an individual Stableford on Good Friday and a pairs Stableford on Monday, there is no booking for these events just roll up on the day, enter in the Pro Shop and go!

The Bogey on Saturday is the normal system for Forward Booking in the Pro Shop. It is also the WGC Dell World Matchplay at Austin Country Club starting this Wednesday and culminating on Sunday, this will see the top 64 players play straight Knockout golf and always produces some great golf, drama and surprise results, it should be and excellent watch.




SCRATCH TEAM Get Together this Sunday 11am

The Scratch teams had a phenomenal year in 2015 with both teams winning their leagues and securing promotion, the season starts again on Saturday 16th April with both teams playing Boston. There will be two Scratch Team get togethers in advance of this Sunday 27th March & Sunday 10th April, anybody that would like to be involved this year is more than welcome to attend, further details will be posted shortly.

We have generously received some sponsorship for the new Scratch Team Club Shirt, this will be a Nike shirt in Game Royal Blue and will be available at a very reasonable cost of £10 per shirt, would all the Scratch team players pop into the Pro shop and let us know your size please, we need to order these shirts ASAP so if you could do this at your earliest convenience it would be much appreciated.
