Hole in One for Darren Heriot on a busy week of competitions. There was a good entrance in the Bank Holiday Monday Stableford despite the blustery conditions, Darren Heriot produced the shot of the day scoring a Hole in One on the 2nd, well done Darren. 

In tough conditions Con Lindgren 36 pts secured Division I from Lee Watts and Paul Day both on 35 pts, John Unwin 36 pts topped Division II from Mick Burch 35 pts and Gary Proctor 32 pts. Jamie Muffett was top scorer on the day with 38 pts in Division III from Eddie Gachette and Pete Roberts 34 pts. The Two's qualifiers were Mickey Moore, Ian Fane, Gary Proctor, John Unwin, Giovanni Rizzo, Steve Leonard, Darren Heriot Hole in One and Pete Roberts. Jeremy and Jackie Knight scored an excellent 44 pts to win the Husband & Wife Cup on Sunday from Graham and Gill Wilson on 41 pts and Alan & Dianne Willis 40 pts. 

The Mid Week Stableford nearly saw a family double with Club Captain Steve Brand 35 pts just losing out on countback to Giovanni Rizzo in Division I while his son Steffan also with 35 pts won Division II from Malc Wiles and Josh Smith both on 34 pts, Luke Lawson 33 pts was third in Division I and the Two's qualifiers were Steve Leonard, Ed Skinner and Luke Lawson. 

The Scratch teams were in action again at the weekend with the B team producing an excellent 3.5-2.5 victory at Home to previously undefeated Toft GC. The A team lost 5-1 away to Greetham Valley which is always a tough place to go, I think the Home form of both teams is going to be crucial in consolidating our positions after both teams promotion last season. 


 

Rob Cottingham, Ian Fane, Giovanni Rizzo and Jay Willis are going to play 72 Holes on 3rd June, they are going to complete this challenge to raise money for an amazingly brave 8 year old called Rico who is fighting bacterial meningitis, he has lost his right foot and all the toes, his heel and part of the outside of his left foot. - Junior Membership for a year is a very reasonable £25 for Rookies and £64.75 for Juniors (including unlimited Golf on both the Lakes and Academy courses and all the Lessons)  

Wednesday 1st June, Sunday 5th June, Sunday 3rd July, Wednesday 27th July, Wednesday 3rd August, Sunday 7th August, Wednesday 10th August, Wednesday 17th August, Wednesday 24th August, Wednesday 31st August and Sunday 4th September.

There is also a host of competitions over the season to be played off the new Junior Tees on the Lakes Course.
