Congratulations to Dianne Willis and Pat Bloom who are this year's Ladies Club Champions Gross and Nett respectively, Dianne lead both after round one but Pat produced 91-22 = 69 on day two to take the Nett trophy by one shot from Dianne who maintained her lead in the Gross for a three shot victory reversing the Nett result with Pat in second this time, well done Ladies.
There was some excellent scoring in Sunday's Stableford, Chris Hides top scored with 42 pts to take Division I from Simon Randall 41 pts and Brian Harrison 40 pts, Clint Allen used his new Nike Custom Fitted Fly Driver to good effect in scoring 39 pts to take Division II from Paul Rawlings 38 pts and Wayne Jupp 35 pts, Division III was also very competitive with Scott Thompson 41 pts finishing top from Stuart Pettit and Colin Lockwood both on 39 pts. The Two's Sweep winners were Simon Randall, Ash Anthony, Jim Dudley, Alan Buckby, Chris Hides, Steve Nelson, Robert Drewery, Pat Reidy and Stuart Pettit.
Mickey Moore 37 pts took Division I in Wednesday's Mid-Week Stableford using his new Custom Fitted PING G Irons from Giovanni Rizzo also on 37 pts and Rob Edwards 36 pts while Larry Didlick 38 pts topped Division II from Bruce Anthony 35 pts and Peter Gordon 32 pts. Vice-Captain Darren Hunt scooped the whole Two's Sweep.
Mat Deegan along with caddie Wayne Gray, Mickey Moore with our Green keeper Malc Mitchell both pictured below and also our Vice Captain Darren Hunt all played in the Trilby Tour Qualifier at Hanbury Manor on Tuesday, Darren scored 36 pts to just miss out on the four man play off to decide the Champion, but he has qualified for the International Grand Final at the Forest of Arden on the 31st August, Mickey Moore scored 34 pts to just miss out on a play off for the Final and Mat Deegan was not that far out either with 30 pts, well done chaps and best of luck to Darren in the Final.
I am not sure where this year has gone! The fourth Major of the year the USPGA gets underway this week at Batusrol, it is slightly earlier than normal to make way for the Olympics which it is fair to say has not captured the imagination of all of the top players in the world, I believe it would have been a much better tournament and meant much more if it was an amateur event. I am sure the USPGA will be a cracking event though, apparently it is a long hitters course, which pretty much covers all of the modern golfers! I hope the course is set up fairly and we get good viewing.

Throughout the season there is a series of Coaching Sessions for both Rookies (10 and Under) and Juniors (11-18 years), please see the dates below.

- Junior Membership for a year is a very reasonable £25 for Rookies and £64.75 for Juniors (including unlimited Golf on both the Lakes and Academy courses and all the Lessons)

There is also a host of competitions over the season to be played off the new Junior Tees on the Lakes Course.
