Ady Bingham scored 36 pts to win Saturday's Three Club Competition from Bruce Anthony 35 pts and Andrew Locke 32 pts, well done chaps just think what you should be able to do with a choice of another 11 clubs!! Ash Anthony and Giovanni Rizzo were the only players to secure a share of the Two's Sweep.
A big well done to Alan & Dianne Willis for winning the Phil Baxter Cup on Bank Holiday Monday, Alan & Dianne scored a fantastic 28 pts on the back nine playing Greensomes for an 18 Hole total of 47 pts, Jeremy & Jackie Knight scored 44 pts for second place with Sam Harford & Georgia Sly 43 pts in third.
I am sure a lot of you will have heard that Nike will no longer be making Golf Clubs, Balls or Bags from the end of this season, this is has been a big shock especially as we have done very well with the Clubs over the last few years and the new range of Golf Balls are excellent. The clubs perform very well and market share in the UK in Europe has been growing but we are a small area in relation to America and the rest of the World. I must stress that good product doesn't become bad product overnight but inevitably it will be perceived differently,
I am sure there will be some price reductions, but custom fit will still be available also at a lower price and all warranties will still stand going forward.
I will certainly still be using all of my equipment, so it actually a great time to get some great performing equipment at a great price.
Nike's core business in every other sport is Shoes and Clothing and this will continue to be the case in Golf with some very exciting and innovative products coming for next year.

Throughout the season there is a series of Coaching Sessions for both Rookies (10 and Under) and Juniors (11-18 years), please see the dates below.
- All sessions Free to members and only £3 a session to non Members
- Junior Membership for a year is a very reasonable £25 for Rookies and £64.75 for Juniors (including unlimited Golf on both the Lakes and Academy courses and all the Lessons)

There is also a host of competitions over the season to be played off the new Junior Tees on the Lakes Course.

Congratulations to Thomas Holman 98-28=70 on winning the Junior Club Championship last Wednesday, Thomas has now won the first two competitions he has played in after getting his new Nike Fly set of irons, well done Thomas keep it going, Michelle Pringle 109-34=75 was second and Charlie Pearce 100-23=77 third.
