I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and thank you for your support in 2016, let's all make a New Year's Resolution to get out and play more Golf, well when it warms up a little anyway!

I had a very enjoyable round with Roger Kennedy, Gordon Kind & Pete Roberts in the Xmas Scramble in which we managed to finish in third place on 57.7.

Congratulations to Stuart Stirling. Alan Buckby, Lyn Rawlings & Colin Burton who scored 57.2 to pip Paul Harford, Rob Cottingham, Ian MacDonald & Trevor Walker by the narrowest of margins 0.1 of a shot after they finished on 57.3.

I managed to secure the nearest the pin on the 2nd Hole, Paul Day won the 7th, Sean Evans the 11th and Richard Drew the 17th.

As is customary at this time of year we have a January Sale running, there are lots of bargains including Clubs, Bags, Trolleys, Golf Balls, Shoes and Clothing, so why not pop in have a look?

SRIXON GOLF - How Performance Should Feel

We are now stocking the new Z Series from Srixon, Srixon have some great momentum on Tour and are producing some fantastic looking irons to appeal to a wide cross section of golfers which feel exceptionally soft but offer great performance. We have a full Fitting System and Demo clubs, the iron range has three models available from Z565, Z765 through to the Z965 Blade, and they are also all interchangeable to produce mixed sets to suit your every requirement through the set.

COBRA GOLF

I am excited to announce that we are now stocking Cobra Golf Clubs, myself and Nick have been testing this range over the last few weeks and we believe Cobra offers a great choice of excellent performing products to suit a very broad cross section of golfers. We strongly believe in making sure that all products are well fitted to your exact requirements so we now have a full range of Demo equipment with more arriving shortly.

NEW Cleveland RTX-3 Wedges

The new Cleveland RTX-3 Wedge Fitting Cart has now arrived in the Pro Shop, so we have a range of Demos available from 48 Degrees thorough to 60 Degrees with various grinds to suit your particular requirements for bounce. This all new wedge has a range of new features to improve on what was already an excellent wedge. Cleveland have shortened the hosel which has enabled more weight to be moved towards the toe of the club making for a more centred CG, which will offer more head stability on off centre hits, tighten dispersion and help distance control, the variety of grinds available allows us to tailor your wedges to your particular swing characteristics depending on whether you have shallow angle of attack or are a bit steeper, the already fantastic Rotex face on the previous model has been improved again offering even more spin through deeper narrower U shape grooves, micro laser milling which roughens the face to the maximum conforming limit. A new set of correctly fitted and gapped wedges can make an amazing difference to your short game, so why not book a fitting or give one a try?
