Winter Series Stableford was a very appropriate name for Saturday's latest event Chilly, with one event to go this Sunday, 19 February. Gary Kew took a commanding lead in the overall event scoring 43 points to take Division One from Stuart Stirling 39 points and Danny Huddlestone 37 points. Malc Wiles 37 points topped Division Two from John Lavender 34 points and Alex Gifford 31 points. Danny Huddlestone scooped the two's sweep on his own. Malc Is Leaving Us
On a sad not I am sure most of you will be aware that our Greenkeeper Malc Mitchell is leaving to take up a great opportunity back in in his homeland at Machrihanish Golf Club in Scotland, I am sure you will all agree Malc has been a great asset to the Golf Club, not just on the course but as committee member, scratch team player/captain and great friend, he will be missed by all staff and members alike. If you would like to wish him well for the future there is a leaving party this Friday, 17, from 6pm, I hope to see many of you there.

We now have the new PING i200 Irons available for Custom Fit, this new iron is made for forgiveness but has very clean looks and offers workability, so is aimed at the golfer that likes the look of a thinner club but doesn't want to sacrifice the room for error of a full game improvement cavity back. They have an active elastomer back for feel and a thinner face to give a soft feel while offering a powerful flight, there is new weighting for the toe again to assist in off centre hits.
