The first Texas Scramble of the season the March Spring Cup on Sunday produced a win on count back for myself, Nick, Darren Hunt & Mickey Moore scoring 59.9, I can't remember there being a countback in a Texas Scramble before so Steve Cooper, Graham Cooper, Andy Phillips & Nidge Bryan can count themselves a little unlucky to miss out. 

Paul Day, Ian Weller, Nigel Bunn and Gav Heaton 60.9 finished third and the nearest the pins went to 2nd Hole Pete Howard, 7th Hole Darren Hunt, 11th Hole Stefan Brand, 17th Hole Jim Dudley.

It is only a couple of weeks now until the Masters, the world number one Dustin Johnson is in great form adding the WGC Dell Matchplay to his impressive start to the season beating Jon Rahm who has also surged up the world rankings in the final.

 I am still not sure they have cracked the right format for this event as yet and with the withdrawals in the group stages this year it made some groups a bit of an anti-climax on Friday, it is great to watch match play though, there was some great golf and exciting matches.
