Sue Ryder Day 

A big congratulations to Andy Phillips, everybody that donated prizes and took part in very enjoyable day, raising a fantastic amount of money for the Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Charity, please see the results section for the prize winners on the day. 

A few words from Andy: 

"Thanks, it was great to see everyone have a lovely day, but I couldn't have done it without the help and support I received. So in no particular order, many thanks from me to: all the hole sponsors, Nick & Ali and the team in the 19th hole for the fantastic food they put on; everyone who donated cakes for the halfway hut; everyone who donated raffle prizes; Graham Cooper, Steven Cooper, Nigel Bryan and Steve Brand for helping to make the day run so smoothly; Tracey Phillips, my wife, and Shirley Slade, my mother in law, for keeping us all fed and watered in the halfway hut; Steve, the greenkeeper, and team for the presentation of the course and letting us have some interesting pins on the 5th and 11th; Judith from Sue Ryder for her support on the day and for giving everyone a flavour of what our support means to Thorpe Hall: the bloke upstairs for the weather and last, but by no means least, all of you for taking part and being in the right place at the right time. 

Oh, and nearly forgot to say we raised £3,632.18 for Sue Ryder, which Reg Boot is kindly rounding up to £3,700!!! Truly amazing effort by everyone, I know Judith and Joely at Sue Ryder will be made up! "

Sunday Stableford

Congratulations to Paul Chiverton who got his round in Sunday's Stableford off to a great start by scoring a Hole in One on the 2nd, there was some excellent scoring on the day, Gav Heaton 41 pts lead Division I from Pete Seymour 38 pts and Paul Chiverton 35 pts. Clint Allen 42 pts took Division II from Gary Kew and Brian Harding 35 pts. Mark Weston 42 pts secured Division III from Alex Gifford and Barney Shales 38 pts. The Two's Sweep winners were Ash Anthony and G Luparia as well as a double share for Paul Chiverton.

Midweek Medal

The midweek medal saw Lee Watts 75-6 = 69 top Division I from Wayne Jupp 84-13 = 71 and Clint Allen 85-14 = 71. Division II saw Lee McQuade 89-20 = 69 take top place from Angelo Antonucci 91-18 = 73 and Mick Burch 92-18 = 74. Darren Hunt scoped the Two's Sweep.

Summer Knockouts 

The Draw for the Singles and Doubles Knockouts has now been made, these can be viewed in the men's changing rooms and also on HDID.


 

Nene Park AM/AM 

The Ladies section entered two teams in the Nene Park AM/AM with Tina Alcock and Cherry Harpham coming third in a very competitive field, Cherry also picked a nearest the pin prize.
