Danny wins the medal

Danny Phillips produced and an excellent score of 74-11=63 to take the overall prize in Sunday's medal as well as division 1 and the best gross. Pete Seymour 75-6=69 and Paul Chiverton 82-12=70 followed Danny home in division 1. Micky Burch 86-15=71 edged out Steve Leonard 87-15=72 and Dep Patel 86-14=72 in division 2. Joe Pasqualino 93-24=69 topped division 3 from Charlie Pearce 94-21=73 and Nigel Clare 94-20=74. The two's sweep winners and qualifiers were Pete Seymour, Richie Lloyd, Danny Phillips x2, Dep Patel & Russ Harris.

There is a Texas Scramble this Sunday 13th, if you would like to play there are a few individual and team spots available, please book in the members bar or give the shop a call.

It’s through this repetition that swing changes start to feel more natural so the pupil can then hit the course full of confidence. We love good habits like this, but there is one habit we see all the time that we certainly don’t recommend…

NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE?

It’s not uncommon for us to see members playing a scuffed ball, using it until it eventually gets lost. But ball damage, such as worn dimples or surface cuts, can alter the airflow over your ball, making your trajectory more erratic and causing wayward shots and shorter carries.

You might think this would have minimal effect versus and unblemished ball, but a mark across just a few dimples can make 10 yards difference to a shot, as we’ve demonstrated in the illustration here.
