Weekly update Congratulations to everybody that picked up a prize at Saturday's Presentation night, it was good to see so many members and a good time was had by all I am sure. It is the final of the Rolex Series this week being played in the sunshine of Dubai bringing to an end of the European Tour season and the USPGA Tour has already re started with OHL Classic last week. It is a pity we can't all follow the sun around the world like the modern day Tour Pro's, the winter season still means we have competitive golf though with Winter League games to play, it is also the second event in the Winter Stableford Series this weekend, please give the shop a call if you would like to play and haven't already booked a tee time. Winter is also the time to set your goals for next year’s season, we would all like to improve some aspects of our games I am sure, but how do we do that? Lessons, new equipment or maybe just plan to play more golf, whatever it is, now is the time to start planning, we will all enjoy the game more if we can make any improvements which subsequently gives us the urge to play more. Congratulations to Ash Anthony who for the second year running just pipped Paul Day in the final of the Scratch Knockout last weekend. Just a quick note on tee times at this time of the year, inevitably with the shorter hours of daylight, there is more pressure on tee times at the weekend, so please book in advance and if you book a tee time but no longer need it, please give us a call to cancel. I hope everybody will have noticed that the Greenkeeper's are now regularly checking Green Fee tickets and Membership Tags, if you have lost your tag or don't have a current sticker, please pop into the Pro Shop. |
