Barry Jones certainly lead his team of John Little, Andy Turner and Alan Brown to victory with style in Sunday's Texas Scramble, Barry scored a Hole in One on the 11th Hole and it inspired the team to the excellent score of 57.3. Rob Cottingham, Giovanni Rizzo, Ian Fane and Tom Bingley 58.2 were second from Colin Burton, Stuart Stirling, Mark Weston and Sean Briant 59.2. The nearest the Pins went to Mick Davies 1.71m 2nd Hole, Mick Burch 0.62m 7th Hole, Pete Seymour 3.3m 17th Hole and Barry on the 11th.
Captain Micky Burch is crowned "Best Putter in the Club" we held this event after Sunday's Texas Scramble, it was very kindly sponsored by PING, Micky won on count back after a tie with Matt Deegan, Ben Templeman and Tom Bingley. We also managed to raise £62 for Micky's Charity in just over an hour, massive thank you to everybody that took part, it was great fun and was good to see so many people stay behind to take part.
Ladies Pink Day & Men's "Pink Medal"
Ladies "Pink Day" will be held Tuesday September 2nd, please meet for the draw in the Members Bar from 9am for a start at 9.30am, there will be prizes for the Best Lady & Best Man, the sign up sheet is in the Members Bar.
The Men's Medal on Saturday 6th September has been nominated as "Pink Medal" there will be Charity Pins available and the Half Way House will be open for Refreshments and there will be a raffle. Entry will be as normal in the Pro Shop. All money raised will go to Breakthrough Breast Cancer Charity so please support either or both days if you can.
