It's Ryder Cup week Well it's Ryder Cup week and as if that is not exciting enough the events of last week have certainly added even more anticipation to what I am sure is going to be a great event. You only had to watch the crowds on the last hole of the Tour Championship to see what Tiger Woods brings to the game of golf. There are undoubtedly many stars in the game but the Tiger effect is plain to see, so with his first win in five years the comeback is complete, well maybe not quite! His Ryder Cup record in the past is not that great when it comes to being part of a team, I suspect though that also may be different this time, he was a big part of the back room staff at the last Ryder Cup and is all set to continue that this time in the team. Congratulations to Justin Rose who actually won the FedEx and the not insignificant prize of 10 Million Dollars, which has got slightly lost in the aftermath of the Tiger victory. There was also the first 59 ever on the European Tour in last weeks Portugal Masters by Oliver Fisher. Congratulations to Jeremy & Jackie Knight who scored 39 pts to win the Husband & Wife Cup on Sunday from Lee & Vicky Woodward 37 pts and Paul & Lyn Rawlings 35 pts. On the Husband & Wife front also a big congratulations to Nick and Bernie who tied the knot last Friday in a lovely ceremony at Orton Hall Hotel.
