Rule changes are coming!

It is not long until the new Rules of Golf come in to force on the 1st January. There are quite a few major changes designed to modernise the game and also simplify their operation, the R&A have published a new Rule Book called the ‘Players Edition’ which will be available for collection from the Pro Shop at the end of December.

This book has been designed to be much more user friendly with the introduction of diagrams and better explanations to help everybody implement the rules when required. There are now only 24 rules opposed to the previous 34 which will mean our ‘Local Rules’ have also changed, new scorecards will also be available on the 1st January.

We are open every day except Xmas Day and just a quick reminder about playing golf over the Xmas and New Year Holidays. This period which is weather dependant is always a busy time, with that in mind we please see below for tee time booking information.

Do you spot a trend?

We all want to enjoy playing golf, and a big part of this is lowering our handicap. Yes, there will be times when your game isn't up to scratch and you go up .1 a few times in a row, but there'll also be times when all of the puzzle pieces fit and your handicap tumbles.
