Tour news

Rose & DeChambeau win on the Tours…

It is a nice to watch some golf in sunnier climates last week, especially when it is a bit chilly at home. World number one Justin Rose produced an impressive victory in The Farmers Insurance Open by holding off a late charge from Adam Scott, and is now the favourite for The Masters.

Bryson DeChambeau was an even more impressive in victory with a tournament record score of 24 under par and a margin of victory of seven shots. Bryson consolidated his position of world number five and continued his excellent run of form. He has a very scientific approach to the game which can be a little slow and hard to watch sometimes. He was not issued with any time warnings though which is in stark contrast to the very harsh penalty imposed on Haotong Li which has been widely criticised by European Tour players and even the CEO of the European Tour Keith Pelley. Bryson was using the new Cobra F9 driver and fairway woods as well as ONE Length Irons, we have all of these products available for trial in the shop.

The Captain's Drive In will now be played on Sunday 17th February (not the 24th February) and the last Winter Series Stableford on Saturday 16th February (not the 17th February).

PING G410 irons - Now available for fitting

Cobra F9 Speedback demo & fitting available…

We have the new Cobra F9 Speedback 2019 range available in demo. The F9 driver is designed to improve your clubhead speed through the new aero dynamics in the head, it has a very low centre of gravity making it very easy get up in the air as well as offering a very stable face at impact.

The milled face is the hottest and thinnest they have made offering improved ball speed even on off centre hits, the carbon fibre crown is designed to further enhance the aero dynamics reducing drag for increased club head speed as well as increasing rigidity of the head to make it extra stable at impact. Why not give one a try next time you are at the club.
