We're back! I am sure you are all aware that we have now re opened the Lakes Course, Driving Range, Academy Course and Pro Shop. The current guidance is that golf can be played in two balls only, these are obviously small steps towards resuming golf in more normal conditions over the coming weeks and months. It is especially important that we exhibit common sense and adhere to guidelines set out by the Government and the appropriate Governing bodies. The message is “Play Safe, Stay Safe” which includes all golfers and golf club staff, please see below the measures we have put into place. Course Set-up: - All rakes have been removed from the course, please smooth bunkers with your feet or club.
- Ball washers have been covered up.
- The flagsticks have been fitted with a ball retrieval device which can be operated with your putter meaning you do not need to touch the flagstick.
- The putting green is open, but the flags have been removed and the hole cups have been upturned.
- The par three course is also open, the hole cups have also been upturned.
- The driving range is open, please observe social distancing.
- The pro shop is also open, please observe social distancing.
We will not be introducing a booking system in the week, although we may have to look at that again depending on demand. Tee times should be booked as normal at the weekend, there will be members only tee times which will only be released to green fees on Fridays if not already booked, with the limited capacity of two balls only, please be considerate when booking tee times. Social distancing should be observed while using all the facilities. I am sure guidelines will evolve as we move forward and we will keep you all informed as and when they do. Enjoy this week's read...
