Golf on Tour

Hovland set for Ryder Cup debut

Sam Burns took the fight to Florida’s famous Copperhead course, staying in the 60s all week to win the Valspar Championship with a -17 total. Finding the water on the par-3 13th cost Keegan Bradley his shot at the title, while Victor Hovland continued a fantastic season with a T3 finish; now sitting third in the FedEx Cup rankings. He’s a special talent and looks likely to be part of Europe's Ryder Cup team come September.

It also takes something special to beat a Major champion, and Hyo Joo Kim has that in abundance. The young South Korean soared past five different Major winners, including Inbee Park and her seven titles, to claim the LPGA Tour’s HSBC Women’s World Championship in stunning style at the weekend.

Drivers: what's in your bag?

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be looking at what you’ve got in the bag and where there’s room for improvement. There’s only one place to start, though, right? The one we all love letting rip and hate watching fly out of bounds… It’s the driver!

Do you get on well with your driver?

What sort of driver have you got in the bag right now: a friend, an enemy or simply an acquaintance? If you can pummel a drive dead-straight down the fairway, lucky you! If not, maybe it’s worth looking at what your driver isn’t giving you. Distance? Forgiveness? Control?

Putters: what’s in your bag?

A putting stroke may look like there’s less going on than when you swing any other club in your bag, but there’s a lot at play when you’re nudging that ball towards the hole. So, how can we get a putter in your bag that works in tandem with your own stroke?
