Rob Jackson Memorial Pairs

Congratulations to Andy Phillips and his guest Glynn Goodwin who both won a years membership in winning the Rob Jackson Memorial Pairs on Saturday. Andy and Glynn scored 44 pts in which was very fitting victory, I am sure you are all aware that Andy was a very close friend of Rob's, I am sure Rob will be smiling down on him. Rob Cottingham & P Mason were second on 41 pts just ahead of Andy Hunt and Richard Moisey 40 pts, who in turn just pipped Bruce Anthony and Tim Bains on countback. We had 47 pairs play in this annual event which I am pretty sure is our biggest entry, well done to everyone that played.

St George Medal

The scoring was very good in Sunday's St George Medal with Jim Dudley 73-6=67 winning the overall after a three way tie with John Zajac 78-11=67 and Alan Buckby 80-13=67, Ash Anthony shot an excellent 72 to take the Gross prize. Jim also won Division I from John and Ash 72-4=68 while Alan topped Division II from Gary Kew 86-15=71 and Alan Willis 87-15=72. Bruce Anthony 97-26=71 topped Division III from Paul Rawlings 91-20=71 on countback with Colin Burton 100-28=78 in third. Two's were in short supply with only Brian Barrett, Dave Lamb and Alan "Deuce" Buckby sharing the sweep.

OPEN DAYS - Crystal Mays and the Inaugural Thorney Lakes Mixed Open

The Crystal Mays will be held on Thursday 14th May and the Mixed Open on Sunday 5th July, entry forms for both will be available from the Members Bar and Pro Shop shortly.

Nike Experience Day - Competition & Demo Day Sunday, 17 May

We will be hosting Nike on Sunday, 17 May and this will be a great day to try a host of Nike product and also compete in a competition all sponsored by Nike. We are now taking appointments for fittings and tee times for the competition. If you have not had a chance to try any of the new Vapor range yet this is a great opportunity to give it a go, the whole range has proved to be very popular so far, achieving great results and benefits in distance, accuracy and consistency.

The competition is FREE to enter and is a Betterball Pairs event, there will also be opportunities to increase your score with Driving, Chipping and Putting stations using Nike product before, during and after your round. Please ask in the Pro Shop for more details and to get yourself booked in for what is sure to be a great day.

New Cleveland 588 RTX 2.0 Wedges NOW IN STOCK

Nike Lunar Control III

Rory McIIroy had a major input to the design of this new shoe for 2015, by moving the spikes more to the outer edges and the addition of an extra spike these shoes are exceptionally stable to the ground, the shoe also has a wider base and is lower to the ground than the existing shoe creating a further feeling of stability, with the addition of a new carbon fiber mid foot shank, the shoe is very laterally strong, this lateral support is added to with the improved Flywire technology that wraps around your foot, the sole still has full length Lunarlon cushioning for responsive cushioning.
