Good afternoon,
We had another busy week on the competition front, performance of the week must go to Paul Day, and Paul shot an excellent gross 69 in Wednesday's Mid-Week Medal, spare a thought for Gary Proctor though. Gary matched Paul's net 63 just losing out on count back, Giovanni Rizzo (83-16=67) was third. The scoring was not quite so hot in Division II, Dave McQuillen (91-21=70) leading the way from Ces Baxter (101-27=74) and Ernie Miller (92-18=74). The Two's Sweep winners were Ian Bingley, Gary Proctor x2, Paul Day, Wayne Proctor, Ian Weller, Nathan Proctor & Tony Gregson.
Steve Leonard (81-13=68) won the overall Medal on Sunday while Ben Templeman (75-6=69) won Division I and the Best Gross prize, Ian Weller (81-10=71) followed Ben home in Division I with Alan Buckby (84-11=73) was third. Andre Pringle (88-16=72) pipped Dave Lamb (87-15=72) for second on count back behind Steve in Division II. Stuart Coleman (91-18=73) won Division III also on count back from John Rippon (95-22=73) with Bruce Anthony (95-21=74) in third. The Two's Sweep winners and qualifiers were Declan Morgan, Jon Northrop, Steve Leonard, Steve Cooper and Dave Gibson.
There was a record entry for Sunday's Family Greensomes with Graham & Gill Wilson scoring 40 pts to take the trophy by two points from Ian & Tom Bingley 38 pts with Lee & Vicky Woodward 36 pts in third.
Congratulations to Tina Alcock, Tina scored 42 pts to win the Ladies Golden Girls on Tuesday from Roxy Jones 36 pts and Anne Edwards 32 pts.
Both Scratch teams produced good results again at the weekend, the A Team made it five wins in a row against Belton Woods meaning with a win or a draw against South Kyme this coming weekend they should secure the League and promotion, the B Team fought out a draw away to Tydd St Giles, they also have a chance of promotion with a good finish to the season.

New Cleveland 588 RTX 2.0 Wedges BUY ONE GET ONE HALF PRICE!
Cleveland Wedges were the top selling Wedge brand in 2014 and this new version promises even more spin and control, the grooves are now 15% sharper and the new micro milled Rotex face gives these wedges the most surface roughness allowed. Wedges come in Low, Standard and High Bounce, the right bounce for you're particular swing type is crucial, too high can cause thinned shots and too low fat shots. Along with needing the right loft to fit yardage gaps, the correct bounce plus the options of two different finishes and either blade or cavity back, being fitted for a wedge is very important. This year we have invested in a Cleveland Wedge fitting cart to enable us to tailor your wedges to youe own individual needs.

Nike TW 15 Golf Shoes
This is a very technical shoe designed with input from Tiger, it has the Flyweave technology that originated from Nike's ground breaking Magista football boots and offers the ultimate strength and support in a very lightweight single layer. They also have the Flywire system which gives a Dynamic fit, effectively wrapping the foot, as well as the Nike Free outsole which delivers Freedom of movement while maximising swing power. They also come with a Two Year Waterproof Warranty.
Nike Lunar Control III
Rory McIIroy had a major input into the design of this new shoe for 2015, by moving the spikes more to the outer edges and the addition of an extra spike these shoes are exceptionally stable to the ground. The shoe also has a wider base and is lower to the ground than the existing shoe creating a further feeling of stability, with the addition of a new carbon fiber mid foot shank, the shoe is very laterally strong. This lateral support is added to with the improved Flywire technology that wraps around your foot, the sole still has full length Lunarlon cushioning for responsive cushioning. It is amazing how much research and development goes into golf shoes as well as equipment.
