Dave Gibson leads the way, looking at the overall scoring in Sunday's Medal would say that it wasn't that easy but Dave didn't have any problems as he scored a magnificent 81-18=63 to win the overall Medal by eight shots, well done Dave. Nigel Bunn 80-9=71 won Division I from Ian Weller 83-10=73 and Chris Rippon 80-7=73 with Brendan Greville 79 winning Best Gross, Division II saw Russ Harris 88-17=71 lead the way from Andre Pringle 88-16=72 and Chris Waller 89-16=73 while Reg Boot 91-19=72 followed Dave home in Division III with Barney Shales 96-23=73 in third.

On a difficult day for scoring amazingly there were sixteen Two's, John Zajac, Nigel Bunn, Paul Pamphillon, Paul Harford, Chris Rippon, Russ Harris, Brian Towers, Ady Bingham, Ady Bonnett, Andy Brown, Garry Richardson, Gary Kew, Alan Stokes, Dave Gibson & Eddie Gachette.

This weekend will be busy with the Peacock Pairs on Saturday and a Texas Scramble on Sunday, please give the shop a call if you would like to play in either.


Double Champions!

Congratulations to the B Team who with their five one victory on Saturday over local rivals Gedney Hill secured winning the League and promotion to the next Division. This means that both A & B Teams have won their respective leagues, congratulations to everybody that has contributed and I am sure both teams can compete in the next Division also, let's keep the momentum up.

Neither Tom Bingley or Darren Hunt managed to qualify for the Grand Final of the Trilby Tour but having spoken to both of them, they enjoyed the experience immensely, I understand there were a few nerves on the first tee, but by all accounts both of them hit excellent tee shots, although Darren can't remember actually hitting it!

The Brain Tumour Charity - Holly Locke Memorial Fund

One of our members, Ian Locke, is doing a sponsored bike ride from Lands End to Marshall Meadow, which is a grand total of 630 miles between 6th and 12th September to raise money for the The Brain Tumour Charity - Holly Locke Memorial Fund. Ian tragically lost his daughter Holly on the 23rd November 2014 aged just 22, Holly was diagnosed with a tumour in February 14 which she successfully fought off only for a second one to be found around the stem of her brain.
