Ben Templeman won the Frank Valerio Trophy in Saturday's Two's Final, Ben shot an excellent gross score of 71 on a tough day for scoring, amassing 41 pts to secure both the Nett and Gross prizes, Alan Buckby was second after a three way tie on 37 pts with Keith Howsam third and Jon Northrop fourth, Carlton Grogan 36 pts was fifth after a five way tie. Brendan Greville 75 followed Ben home in the Gross Section with Keith Howsam 77 third again, Paul Day 80 just pipped Gav Heaton for fourth, prizes went down to tenth in each section and are available in the Pro shop for collection, we had over one hundred play on the day which I am sure is the highest entry we have ever had culminating on a prize fund on the day over £1000, thank you all for your support, a full list of winners in each section can be viewed below. 

This is going to hurt!! but after a long run of victories in the annual Pro Captain match, I have to hand the trophy over to Club Captain Con Lindgren, Con inspired his Swedish themed team to a narrow 9.5 pts to 8.5 pts victory on the day, Con's team won the Morning Foursomes 4-2 and although my team fought back admirably in the afternoon, it all came down to the last singles match of the day and when Jim Dudley secured the half with Malc Mitchell victory was Con's, we all had a great day with plenty of banter and I will hand the trophy over on Presentation night with a smile !!

It was great to see so many members attending the Scratch Team Bash on Saturday night to celebrate both A & B Teams winning their respective leagues and gaining promotion, let's keep the momentum up for next year, I am sure we can do ourselves justice in the higher league.

Winter Series Stableford's 

We are running a Winter Series of Stableford's starting on Saturday, 31 October, there will be six events please see dates below. Entry will be £20 to cover entry to all events including Two's Sweep, there will be prizes in Two Divisions for all events and overall prizes at the end for the leading scores with the best four out of six to count, don't worry if you can't play in all of them you can enter each one individually also and if you play in a minimum of four this qualifies for the overall prizes. It will be arrange your own games and book a tee time. The idea is to offer some competitive golf over the winter period along side the Winter League, please ask in the Pro Shop for more details.

Waste Area - 16th Hole 

The waste area on the 16th hole is now back in play, this sandy area is classed as "Through the Green" and is NOT a bunker so your club may be grounded in this area.
